A Stratos at full tilt sounds like it's tearing a hole in the universe to tap into another dimension that consists entirely of rally greatness; you can feel it in your chest. The wastegate on an Integrale sounds like the sigh of an angel. Nothing sounded like the two stroke Saabs, and the wail of the boxer engines in the 911s and 356s (!!!) was delicious. The cinquecentos had the growliest, buzziest four-banger I've ever heard, and on the complete opposite end of the scale was the Abarth 131. I kept telling myself that the other cars SHOULD sound better, but my ears never agreed with me. Of all the cars I heard today, these had the best exhaust note—sweet as a song. How are these not more popular?
